The next American Business Women’s Association (ABWA) luncheon on June 14 will feature Charlotte M. Osborne, ABWA District II Vice President Tu’Ya Chapter, Oklahoma City, OK.  Charlotte will present on Getting Value from your ABWA Membership and the benefits of being an ABWA member for the past 24 years as well as her experience serving on the National board.

Charlotte M. Osborne’s Bio:

am the oldest daughter of a rodeo champion/rancher from South Dakota and a feisty 1/4 blood Cherokee Indian from Oklahoma.  This mixture certainly explains the reason for my personality.

Over the years I have pursued multiple careers and in June of 2014, with encouragement from my family, my ABWA sisters and friends I stepped out of my comfort zone and started a bookkeeping service, CMO Consulting Services where I specialize in all aspects of accounting for various clients in the Oklahoma City metro.

I am a 24 year member of the American Business Women’s Association Tu’Ya Chapter in Oklahoma City and a charter member of the Rose Rock Chapter in Tulsa, OK.  In 2017 was elected as District II Vice President representing and serving ABWA National and chapters in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Texas.

Selected as Tu’Ya Chapter’s Woman of the Year and their ABWA Top Ten Business Woman nominee three times and in 2014 was honored to be chosen by ABWA Area Council of Oklahoma as their Woman of the Year.

Served several times on the board of the Tu’Ya Chapter as well as the board of the Area Council.  In 2004 was elected to chair a team of volunteers from the Oklahoma chapters to plan and oversee the ABWA Conference being held in Oklahoma City.

I focus on the mentoring of new ABWA members to help them grow professionally and personally through their ABWA membership and to realize the value of that membership.

My biggest claim to fame was in 1976 when I was able to travel to Nashville, TN to work with Acuff Rose Publishing Company to choose and record several country music songs at their Nashville studio.

I love to play golf and enjoy reading both for business and pleasure but my most coveted pleasure is spending time with my four grandchildren.

The networking luncheon will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2017 from 11:00 – 1:00pm at The Cannery (3803 Toulouse St, New Orleans, LA).
