Networking can be a key element to building business relationships, but are you making the most of our networking time and money? If you attend a lot of business events, you’ve probably experienced of some pretty bad networkers – the chronic business card distributer, the pushy salesperson looking to close the deal, and the guy who got too excited about the open bar. But are you unwittingly making mistakes that could set you back? Melissa Willis will share her expertise to help us avoid common pitfalls in her talk “3 Colossal Mistakes Business Owners Make When Networking.”
Willis is a graduate of Loyola University New Orleans and has worked extensively in the fashion and entertainment industry. She has worked and traveled all over the world, but she seems to always end up back in New Orleans. Melissa is a long time member of BNI, a current board member of ABWA Crescent City Connections, and is currently the franchise owner of the The Referral Institute here in New Orleans. She believes in helping business owners “work smarter not harder” so that they can create spectacular lives for themselves and their families.
